How to add Content to your koalo.app


Ready to add some content to your app? With Koalo, it's easy to keep your community engaged by sharing various types of content. This guide will walk you through how to add content to your app, whether it’s for communities or broadcasts.


Types of Content You Can Add

With Koalo, you can upload and share a wide variety of content, including:

  • Videos

  • Pictures

  • Files (PDFs, plans, etc.)

  • Links: These links are dynamic in app links, meaning if you are sharing a link to your course or youtube video it will be played in app not in the web or youtube app.

  • Audio messages

  • Text messages


Adding Content to Communities

Communities in your app are interactive spaces where users can engage with each other and the content you share. Here’s how to add content to your communities:

  1. Log in to Your Koalo App:

  • Use your admin credentials to log in.

  1. Select the Community:

  • Choose the community where you want to add content.

  1. Create a New Post:

  • Click on the "+" button or start writing a message.

  1. Choose Content Type:

  • Text: Write your message directly in the text editor.

  • Picture: Upload images from your device.

  • Video: Upload a video file or embed a YouTube video.

  • File: Upload documents, PDFs, plans, etc.

  • Link: Share a link to an external website. These links are dynamic in app links, meaning if you are sharing a link to your course or youtube video it will be played in app.

  1. Publish the Post:

  • Once you’ve added your content, click "Publish" to share it with the community.


Adding Content to Broadcasts

Broadcasts allow you to send messages to your users with limited posting rights, typically used for announcements or important updates. Here’s how to add content to your broadcasts:

  1. Log in to Your Koalo App:

  • Use your admin credentials to log in.

  1. Select the Broadcast Channel:

  • Choose the broadcast channel you want to update.

  1. Create a New Broadcast:

  • Click on the "+" button.

  1. Choose Content Type:

  • Text: Write your message directly in the text editor.

  • Picture: Upload images from your device.

  • Video: Upload a video file or embed a YouTube video.

  • File: Upload documents, PDFs, plans, etc.

  • Link: Share a link to an external website. These links are dynamic in app links, meaning if you are sharing a link to your course or youtube video it will be played in app.

  1. Publish the Broadcast:

  • Once you’ve added your content, click "Send" to broadcast the message to all users in the channel.
